The HI 98183-01 is a heavy-duty, portable pH, temperature, and Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) meter suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The meter features replaceable pH and temperature probes, a backlit, graphic LCD screen, and manual or Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC).

Choose from seven standard buffers (1.68, 4.01, 6.86, 7.01, 9.18, 10.01, 12.45) and five custom pH buffers to obtain up to five-point calibration and achieve high precision readings. Calibration sachets are included. The Hanna Cal Check feature stores past calibration history and monitors the pH electrode and buffers during subsequent calibrations for signs of significant calibration variances that may be caused by a dirty or broken electrode, or contaminated pH buffers. Auto-Hold function displays readings for convenience in documenting and log-on-demand mode allows users to log up to 200 samples. Data can be transferred to a PC though a USB connection and the HI 92000 software.

pH range is -2.0 to 20.0; -2.00 to 20.00; -2.000 to 20.000 + or - 0.1; 0.002pH at 20 degrees C, with a resolution of 0.1; 0.01; 0.001 pH. ORP range is + or - 2000 mV + or – 0.2 mV at 20 degrees C, with a resolution of 0.1 mV. Temperature range is -20.0 to 120.0 degrees C (- 4.0 to 248.0 degrees F) + or - 0.4 degrees C (0.8 degrees F) at 20 degrees C excluding probe error, with a resolution of 0.1 degrees C (0.1 degrees F). Input impedance is 1012 Ohms and the device operates on four 1.2V AA rechargeable batteries, which provide approximately 200 hours of continuous use without backlight, and 50 hours with backlight. Dimensions are 226.5 x 95 x 52 mm/8.9” x 3.75” x 2’’(H x W x D), and weighs 525 g. ORP probes are sold separately.
